3. That I am NOT going to get injured on this vacation.
4. For the Midnight Canners.
5. Fresh corn, master grillsmen, and Cilantro ranch dressing.
6. Really big yards of grass.
7. The nickname "Nonnie" from a sweet 2 year old.
8. Late night laughter.
9. Sleeping in.
10. Friends that get you, really and truly.

I am in Idaho.

I can not tell you how wonderful this is.

Tiffany, standing looking over my shoulder while I type, is a most fabulous hostest and friend.

I am sure I'll post something soon, just don't know when.

Thankful Thursday

Hi. It's me, Crayl. I know it's been awhile (sorry Blogher, I promise, I am coming back).

This is an odd post. It's sort of a list and sort of a story, but it's all about being thankful in sticky or yucky situations.

I am thankful that in the midst of searing anger and mental anguish, I can still love.
I am thankful for prayers from friends to help me figure out sticky situations that don't seem to have any real solutions, none that are really good anyway.
I am thankful for a God that is patient with me, even when I am really blowing it.
I am thankful to have someone to talk to, for real, all the nitty, gritty stuff you sometimes feel.
I am thankful I am that person for someone else as well.
I am thankful I can read and write, that my family has a home, food and clean water.
I am thankful I obeyed and stepped into some of my gifting. Doing what you are meant too do, what you are called to do, might be hard, but it is such a wonderful feeling.
I am thankful you are reading this, I pray God's blessings on your life, and that you know they are from the creator of the universe, who really, truly and deeply loves you.
I am thankful for the upcoming road trip and vacation.
I am thankful for my son's birthday next week.
I am thankful for yet another healthy baby born into the world today.

Our road may be tough, but our God is tougher.
There is so much JOY to be found, take a moment and figure out what brings you joy, be thankful for it, share it with me......

Ten On Tuesday, September

Ten things I am thankful for all pertaining to September:

no particular order...

1. The change in the weather. It's true, we might have some really hot days, but over all the temps are dropping, hurray!
2. Harvesting yumminess from the garden, corn, potatoes etc.
3. Start of school, well, technically it started in August, but most people think of September.
4. Soon the leaves will start changing....maybe.
5. Idaho. This might only be on this year's list, but I get to take a trip there again, a nice long one, to refresh, renew and have fun.
6. Spencer's Birthday. I am really thankful for that kid and his 10 years of life blessing us incredibly.
7. I start thinking of more savory foods instead of "It's too hot to cook". I really enjoy cooking, when I am not melting.
8. Getting closer to the Christmas season, but still far enough away that if you have a large family, like mine, you still have time to shop or create.
9. There are at least 7 other birthdays of people I truly adore and am so thankful for their time in my lives...LD, SD, HS, JC, RR, ....
10. Grace. Which has nothing to do specifically with September, but I am thankful for it every month.

What are you thankful for?
