I RON

It has come to my attention that most people(myself included) seem to say the word iron wrong.

Most people say I-Ern, or I-Urn.
If one was to say I-Ron, one might sound uneducated. Which in itself is a fascinating concept.

And I do believe, might be a true example of irony (i-rony, not i-erny).

Yeah. It's totally true. I often think I-Ron while I'm saying I-ern. Although, it's one of those words that if you say i-ron fast enough it sounds like i-ern.

Although it irritates the tar out of me when people say I-Ron, I am well aware that I am in the wrong here... I do say I-ronic- which you are right- is IRONIC...

but, although i hate the chore- I i-urn with the best of them.

When John was first learning to read, he said I-RON. We used to laugh because it sounded so funny. :-)
